Location & Transportation

Location
Humboldt State University, Arcata.
Our workshops will take place in two studios on the HSU campus. Campus is just minutes walk from Arcata Community Forest where you can find 790 acres of epic beauty.
Downtown is also in walking distance and has plenty of restaurants and shops.
In 20 minutes drive you can be at the Pacific Ocean.
Transportation
Driving/ Carpooling
Arcata is about a five hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area.  When you register you will let us know whether you can offer a ride or need one and where you are coming from. We will do our best to help coordinate carpools but can make no promises. You are also welcome to arrange them yourself via the Facebook event page HERE. Rosemary Hannon is assiting with carpool coordination. You can reach her at rosemaryhannon@gmail.com. There are also rideshares on craigslist.
 
Flights.
There is a small airport in Eureka, one town away. Unfortunately prices aren't great. United Express and Pen Air are the two airlines that fly there. United has direct flights to Arcata from San Francisco. We suggest flying to San Francisco or Oakland and carpooling to Arcata. Many locals will be driving up. We will be assisting with carpool matchmaking closer to the date. 
 
Bus
Greyhound runs a daily bus to Arcata from the San Francisco (3:15pm) and Oakland (3:45pm).
